Even modest improvements in nutrition and lifestyle can lead to meaningful improvements in health markers.
Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Will working with a dietitian affect my FAA medical certification?
No. Nutrition consulting is completely separate from the FAA medical certification process. All sessions are private and confidential — no information is shared with your employer, union, or medical authorities. Working on your health proactively through nutrition is entirely your own business. Many pilots seek nutrition support precisely because they want to protect their medical certification.
Do I need a referral to start?
No referral is needed. You can schedule a Nutrition Clarity Call directly using the booking link on this site. The first step is simply a free 15-minute conversation to see if working together would be a good fit.
How does virtual consulting work with my irregular schedule?
Virtual sessions are designed to be flexible. Sessions are conducted via secure video call and can be scheduled around your schedule, including evenings and weekends. If you're on a layover or between duty days, you can connect from wherever you are. Between-session support is also available via text, phone, or email when questions arise.
What happens during the free Nutrition Clarity Call?
The 15-minute Clarity Call is a brief conversation — not a formal nutrition assessment. We'll talk about what's currently going on with your health or nutrition, explore what you'd like to improve, identify the biggest challenges standing in your way, and see whether working together would be a good fit. There is no obligation to continue after the call.
Do you work with clients outside of Alaska?
Yes. All sessions are conducted virtually, which means I work with pilots and aviation professionals across the United States. Location is no barrier to getting started.
Does insurance cover nutrition consulting?
Coverage varies by insurance plan. Some plans cover medical nutrition therapy (MNT) for specific conditions such as diabetes, and as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), Kylie meets the common requirement for covered services. We recommend contacting your insurance provider to ask about nutrition counseling coverage. Documentation for reimbursement purposes can be provided upon request.
